73 years old Man upset about his Dental Bill pulled a gun at the Dentist

A man was arrested by police after he pulled a gum at a Dearborn dentists' office! 
This incident happened at the Advanced Dental Clinic on Ford Road around at around 9 a.m. Thursday. According to the police, this 73-year-old Dearborn man, apparently enraged about his bill, started arguing with the clerk. The disagreement and argument escalated and the suspect drew a pistol out and threatened a dentist in the office.

Drink coffee can help you keeping your teeth!

Are you a coffee lover? Here's a Good news for you!

Researchers have found that Coffee could not only perk you up in the morning but could also help protect you from gum disease,  They found that those who drank coffee were protected against gum disease. They believe the antioxidants in the coffee could play a role - but admit they are not quite sure what is the real mechanism. Further research will be needed to find out what is happening.

[UPDATE] Children Dentists offer new dental recommendations

MONDAY, Aug. 25, 2014 (ASKDENT | News) -- American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has come out with new recommendations to improve the children oral health against the dental cavities. Dr. Melinda Clark, along with colleagues at the AAP's Section on Oral Health, published the new recommendations online Aug. 25 in the journal Pediatrics.

Real Human Teeth Found in the Jesus Statue

A Jesus statue that has lived an unassuming life in a small town in Mexico for the last 300 years has been hiding a strange secret: real human teeth!

According to the person who first discoverd it (Mr. Fanny Unikel Santoncini, a restorer at the Escuela Nacional de Restauración, Conservación y Museografía at the Instituto Nacional de Antropología E Historia (INAH) in Mexico), this may be an example of a tradition in which human body parts were donated to churches for religious purposes, said  who first discovered the statue's teeth.

What is an oral mucocele? Is it harmful?


Q: What is Mucocele?
An oral mucocele is a harmless, fluid-containing (cyst-like) swelling of the lip or mouth lining (mucosa) due to mucus from the small salivary glands of the mouth leaking into the soft tissue, usually from injury (trauma) or blockage of the gland. A similar lesion, the mucus-retention cyst, occurs from blockage and backup of saliva in the gland.
